'Teleglass-T4' is the name of this odd device that looks like a normal pair of sunglasses. The secret of the invention lies in the internal part of the frame: a socket at nose height for connection to the video source (computer, cell phone or anything else) and five special lenses that reflect the image to create the a particular illusion.

According to the creator, optics expert Masao Yamamoto, the sophisticated play of miniature mirrors ''gives the impression that you're looking at a 45-inch panoramic screen''; they also have integrated headphones so you won't disturb anyone nearby. They're ideal, Yamamoto said, for crowded surface and subway trains where they'll brighten up the boring daily travel of Japanese commuters.

There is also no danger of losing sight of the real world while you're watching your favorite movie: the specially-shaped glasses have openings at the ends so you can also keep an eye on what is happening outside.
