Police celebrates 25 years and debuts in apparel

Created in 1983, the Police brand is celebrating its twenty-fifth birthday by adding a new string to its bow: the production and distribution license agreement with A. Moda for the apparel collection which will debut at Pitti Uomo.

A De Rigo Group brand, for ten years Police has been the subject of a brand awareness project that covers such sectors as perfumes, watches, jewelry and, the latest addition in 2007, leatherwear.

From Fall-Winter 2008/2009, its line of apparel for men and women will begin with some garments in leather and aims to develop further over the seasons to follow.

According to the worldwide four-year agreement, renewable thereafter for five-year periods, A. Moda will handle distribution throughout the world and in particular to such markets as the United Kingdom and Spain, where the Police brand is well-known.

Specifically, the company headed by Alessandro Bastagli, who also chose the style team, will aim at creating corners or dedicated spaces in stores with a high fashion content for young people.
