New Rudy Project successes at Tour de France

New Rudy Project successes at Tour de France

Germany's 24-year-old Linus Gerdemann (T-Mobile) won the first Alpine stage, which was particularly tough as it included the first-category climb up Col de la Colombiere, 14 km from the finishing line. For the 197 km of the 7th stage on the Grande Boucle, which won him the yellow jersey and the white jersey, the cyclist from Munster chose Rudy Project's ultra-light and wraparound Rydon II glasses.

The same choice as Michael Rasmussen of Rabobank, a loyal supporter of Rydon models. The Dane continued to defend the yellow jersey he won last Sunday with his triumphant and memorable triple: stage, yellow jersey and spotted jersey.

The absolute protagonist of the 8th stage of the Grande Boucle, 165 km from Le Grand Bornard to Tignes, the Rabobank cyclist took the lead at the end of a long chase. It won him the yellow and spotted jerseys for the best climber, a title the 33-year-old also won at the previous two editions of the Tour.

Huge satisfaction for Rudy Project is also on the way from the professional Italo-South African Barloworld team, which is racing for the first time at the three-week event in France. Wearing the new Sportmask Performance glasses which feature a front spacer to improve lens aeration and prevent fogging, Columbia's Mauricio Soler won the 9th stage, the 159.5 km Val d'Isère-Briançon.
