L.O.F.T., new flex mechanism for OBE

The German company, OBE, has been nominated for the Silmo Gold 2007 award that will be presented during the Silmo fair in Paris from October 19 through 22. The nomination is for the 'equipment, components, machinery and industrial processes' category.

OBE is the world leader for the production of precision parts and especially flexible hinges for glasses.

Now OBE has created a new flex: L.O.F.T. - Lid Outside Flex Temple.

Any flex mechanism is usually inserted in a box on the inside of the temple. OBE has revolutionized the concept by using the box on the outside. This makes the idea extremely flexible and the box can be personalized, enhanced with precious stones or simply left as it is - invisible.
