Carrera on top of the world
For Carrera, the Safilo Group sports brand that sponsors 'White Circle' athletes with its skiing helmets and goggles, adventures don't stop on the ski slopes. They accompanied the 2004 expedition that took the Scoiattoli group of Cortina d'Ampezzo to the top of K2, and this year Carrera's technical products went with Canada's Serge Dessureault and his team on the toughest challenge of their lives: climbing Everest to get to the top of the highest peak in the world. After two weeks of climbing in weather and environmental conditions at the limit of human endurance, the group reached the top of Mount Everest and an altitude of over 8500 meters.
For the most exciting adventure to crown the ambition of a lifetime, Serge Dessureault depended on the quality of the Carrera products that accompanied him to the summit. He and his companions wore C8 and Egg Square sunglasses and Kimerik ski goggles: a selection of products which guaranteed that the climbers had maximum protection, thanks to the leading-edge technical requirements and innovative construction technology that have always distinguished Carrera products.
Serge Dessureault and his team are also distinguished for other extreme undertakings: from taking part in the Sahara desert marathon to mountain biking across Costa Rica, and climbing Mont Blanc, Kilimanjaro and Aconcagua.
