Carl Zeiss Vision Sunlens, ever-expanded global service for clients

The sun continues to shine on Carl Zeiss Vision Sunlens, the multinational company headquartered in Italy that closes the year 2006 with a revenue of 26 million Euro.
During the year, the company sold over 30 million items, confirming once again its leadership on an international level.
Carl Zeiss Vision Sunlens has set as it primary goal for the future providing its clients with increasingly global service.
This year, the company has opened a 6,000 sqm plant in the Canton region of China to produce, at least initially, sun lenses in polycarbonate.
The new facilities will have a key role in the Group's attentive marketing and development strategy. In fact, in addition to promoting expansion into the Asian market and also extending business in this area, the factory will provide significant support for Asian and European producers whose production facilities are located there. This innovative structure will be a useful platform for customers who will benefit in terms of significant reduction in production and delivery times for lenses, guaranteeing them a product of the highest quality level.

This is a complex and diversified project for Carl Zeiss Vision Sunlens and, thanks to one of the world's most advanced R&D Centres, clients will be able to innovate the design of the frames and test new forms and tints, while maintaining the maximum sun lens quality.

'Carl Zeiss Vision Sunlens has always paid close attention to the needs of its customers who have at their disposal high quality products made with the best materials,' states Gaetano Sciuto, Managing Director of the Company. 'This year, we want to offer our customers value added, providing them not only with excellence in our lenses, but also in our service which will become increasingly global and comprehensive. We are one of the world's largest groups in the solar filter sector and this allows us to cultivate significant collaborative initiatives with the main producers of glasses on an international level, something of which we are very proud.'

Innovation and research have always been a key point for the company; the launching of the ZEISS lens in 2006 was something truly new for the market.
The first sunlens with the ZEISS name guarantees the end-consumer maximum quality thanks to a semi-visible 'Z' engraved on the lens that certifies conformity to its high quality and control standards, much more severe than international standards for sunlenses.
ZEISS lenses are lenses of the highest quality created using innovative technologies which, thanks to superior optics and quality of the materials utilized, guarantee the best in eye protection.
