Briko: Nordic Skiing Championships

More excellent results for Briko's athletes : Tuesday 27 February, in the women's 10 Km freestyle, 13th place for Sabina Valbusa; an unlucky fall put Marit Bjoegen into 22nd place, who would have otherwise surely achieved a better placing.

Wednesday 28 February saw the turn of the men's 15 Km. Despite the adverse weather conditions on the day and the sudden snowfall, Pietro Piller came tenth in the classification.

In the women's 4x5 Km relay yesterday, Thursday 1 March, the Finnish team dominated from the first to the last meter thanks to Virpi Kuitunen's decisive, winning sprint. In the second leg Aino Kaisa Saarinen kept up a high pace in the competition, maintaining her lead to guarantee Finland's victory.
