Briko is the protagonist again at this weekend's Skiing World Cup

The athletes fromBriko's team achieve further splendid victories at the weekend of competitions held in Japan in Sapporo, valid for the Nordic skiing world championship, and in the men's and women's downhill skiing World Cup.

Italian Pietro Piller Cottrer wins bronze medal, hitting the mark immediately in his first world competition. The result obtained in the pursuit equals last year's medal at the Olympics and, above all, highlights the amazing talent of our athlete who declares: "I am pleased more than anything else because of the many sacrifices made over the past months, which have enabled me to get my own back on my bad luck in these past months. The competition was made even more difficult by the wind and many of the competitors falling. The gold in the team sprint gave me great strength; it is as though the Olympics in Turin had not finished yet. I dedicate this bronze to a sick lady who wrote to me in these last few days. I won't say her name, but she is listening to me".

More splendid results for our athletes in the downhill skiing. Two consecutive victories for Briko in Garmish-Partenkirchen, in the slalom valid for the downhill skiing World Cup, with Mario Matt conquering a fantastic podium, as the winner of two perfect legs, with Benjamin Raich third, forced to give up the top step on the podium by a splendid performance by Mario Matt.

Whereas, in the women's category, Briko climbs onto the second step of the podium with Austrian Nicole Hosp, just a few hundredths from victory in the giant slalom in Sierra Nevada, while Hosp seizes third place, between the narrow posts, again by just one hundredth, moving into fourth position.

The value of Briko's athletes has been widely confirmed once again by the excellent performances at this weekend's competitions, which see the historic brand's flag flying over the most important world victories.
