Bausch & Lomb SofLens® daily disposable

Bausch & Lomb today launched its latest new product, SofLens® daily disposable. These contact lenses are truly unique because not only do they provide clear, sharp vision even in poor light, they also offer continual comfort throughout the day and they are incomparably easy to use.

The exceptional vision quality has been achieved thanks to the latest developments in the optics field which have reduced spherical aberration, and continual comfort is made possible by the use of the hilafilcon B polymer, an ionic material with a high water content.
The new ergonomic blister pack combined with the hilafilcon B polymer increases lens elasticity and makes them very easy to use, even by first-time patients.

Clear, sharp vision
Spherical aberration is the eye's inability to focus the rays of light that simultaneously cross the center and the peripheral zones of the eye. This disturbs vision clarity and perception, especially in poor light conditions.

Thanks to the non-spherical design of the outer surface, new SofLens® daily disposable helps to reduce and control aberration. The advanced optical technology applied to making SofLens® daily disposable ensures the reduction of spherical aberration for all powers.

Comfort throughout the day
SofLens® daily disposable are made from non-ionic hilafilcon B to minimize the accumulation of protein and guarantee moisture. This gives the wearer a feeling of extreme comfort and hydration.

The combination of design, material and thickness (0.09mm) improves the transmission of oxygen. The lenses are immersed in a solution containing poloxamine, which covers the lens and acts as a moisturizing agent.

Easy to handle
Removing lenses from the pack has become simpler thanks to the new easy-to-open blister. Because hilafilcon B gives the lens greater elasticity it is less likely to be damaged during removal and application, even by first-time or less expert wearers. The blisters can also be joined together so that patients can carry a single pair of lenses at a time.
