Salice attempts Guinness Record for skiing

Today and tomorrow Salice will be a protagonist in the attempt to break the world record for 24 hours of skiing.

Three groups of skiing instructors from Plan de Corones will compete in a 24-hour, uninterrupted relay race aimed at skiing as many vertical meters as possible. Putting their seal on this original event will be the official judges of the Guinness Book of World Records.

Based in Gravedona, for over ninety years the company has been a main player in the world of sports eyewear and it will provide all competitors with a kit composed of a helmet and goggles fitted with interchangeable lenses.

For the three different records to be beaten (a total of 1,000,000 vertical meters by 16 skiers; 250,000 vertical meters by 4 teams of 4 skiers; at least one of the 16 skiers will try to exceed the maximum vertical meters skied) all athletes will be equipped with the best technology provided by Salice products: top performance goggles and helmets that will protect the skiers in all weather conditions and, above all, during the night when visibility and temperatures are considerably lower.
