“A work of Persol” presents three new artists
Persol, which has always been synonymous with class and the highest Italian quality, has presented the three new artists starring in the advertising campaign and communication platform, “A work of Persol”, now at its third edition.
The advertising campaign and communication platform “A work of Persol” has three new artists: Roger Stevens, Etienne Rey and Chiara Moreschi.
Launched in 2009, the aim of the project is to discover young talents capable of creating substantial and hand-crafted works whose fundamental values are care, technique, material and skill. The works are created in the same materials Persol uses for its eyewear: metal, acetate and glass.
It was precisely the long creative and manufacturing process that inspired the “A work of Persol” project. This involves young artists standing out because of a creative process that expresses values and passions similar to those factors beyond the development of the Persol collections.
A documentary video has been made of the three years of work carried out for the “A work of Persol” communication project and advertising campaign, with guest narrator Peter Nagy, director of the Nature Morte art gallery.
“‘A work of Persol’ is a portrait of a generation of artists who work all over the world and come from all parts of the world, but who share the approach to their identity and the way in which they express themselves through art. It’s a shared approach to art itself and to working techniques,” stated Peter Nagy.
“In an increasingly digitalized world, the spotlights are always persistently focused on the universe of contemporary art and the artists’ ability to preserve the quality and originality of their creations and artisan culture. ‘A work of Persol’ has successfully represented this particular generation, its concerns, passions and enthusiasms. It also communicated the way in which the works of art encapsulate all these ideas as well as the techniques used by new talents to express and present themselves to the world.”
