“Cristalli” is the new collection by Piero Massaro
From crystal acetate in a range of numerous colors, Piero Massaro has created a collection of eyewear with kaleidoscopic transparences whose alluringly evocative power undeniably conjures up that vital and essential element of all his creations: his Sicily of cool granite, colorful citrus fruit and snow-white salt marshes.
By uniting and overlapping acetates in solid colors in a highly evocative intertwining of color-no color, Piero Massaro has created a continually moving arabesque emphasized by the nuances of the temples and those encircling the front pieces, the stylistic feature of this impassioned designer.
Shapes are also curious, like the refined butterfly of yesteryear, and ironic, like those surrounded with sparkling colors on a transparent base.
In two of his models, Piero Massaro proposes a new idea in nylor: the invisible nylon thread is replaced with a very fine steel wire in a color that contrasts with that of the acetate for eyewear that is both refined and stronger.
