"Made in Vintage" in Ciliverghe di Mazzano this weekend

This upcoming second edition of Made in Vintage, the exhibition-market of evergreen fashions, is scheduled November 5 and 6 at the Musei Mazzucchelli in Ciliverghe di Mazzano (Brescia). Taking part will be some of Italy’s top-ranking vintage experts who represent its real essence: a way of living as well as a fashion.

They include Franco Jacassi, one of Italy’s main collectors, who will be there with invaluable items by designers ranging from Chanel to Dior, from Balenciaga to Versace, from Vionnet to Roberta Di Camerino, just to mention a few.

There will also be apparel and accessories from the ‘60s and ‘70s, the fruit of Vintage Art passion and research; original eyeglasses and frames from the ‘50s to the ‘80s exhibited by Lamù Vintage; American costume jewelry by Silvana Venturini, period postcards, books and posters by Happy Books; antiques and art accessories by Galleria Atena and L’Arcadia; passementerie, buckles and buttons by Eclater; and ties by Venturino Vintage. An event with no shortage of inspiration for original, amusing or precious Christmas gifts that represent a small part of the history of fashions and customs.

Sponsored by Regione Lombardia-Culture, Identità e Autonomie, the Province of Brescia, the municipality of Mazzano and Brescia Chamber of Commerce, Made in Vintage will be hosted in over 800-square-meters of galleries in the neo-Palladian building that houses other permanent collections and the Museum of Fashion and Customs, a collection of historical apparel and accessories, directed by Massimiliano Capella, fashion and customs historian and curator of all the exhibitions organized by the museums.

The Mazzucchelli Museum is open Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 8pm.
Tickets: 5 euro and 3 euro (reduced price). Entrance free for fashion sector operators with the Musei Mazzucchelli business card.
