Prada and the aesthetic dictates of the new season
Prada is synonymous with a style that has frequently forecast and dictated aesthetics in different sectors.
The start point is absolute quality combined with an innovative approach and strong artisan tradition, an approach that is applied to all stages of the process: from design to the choice of materials and production, from sales concepts to advertising campaigns and communication strategies, a “chain of value” that generates “total quality”.
The same creative process is used for the “sun” and “vision” eyewear collections for which Prada is developing a route that includes experimental shapes and alternative communication.
FALL/WINTER 2011-2012 COLLECTION
Strong identity and character form the foundation of the new Prada eyewear collections for men and women.
A play of different shapes ranging from round to pointed or squarer are this season’s must-haves for women. The lowest common denominator is research into the thickness for the temples and front pieces enriched with new themes and the logos. An in-depth study that aims to create new icons of style. The sophistication of balanced details is revealed in the collection for men. Restrained style with a classical flavor that blends with a high front piece or a look that is more decisively creative.
PRADA VISION
Model VPR 03O
Linear, light design for an oval that’s ready to set a new trend. Engraved on the tubular temples, the Prada logo is the signature of unmistakable style. Classic Black and Tortoise are joined by nuances of Brown/Purple, Dark/Light Blue and Currant/Honey.
Model VPR 07O
Prada adds its signature to the ‘50s in a style that’s avant-garde and refined. The arrow logo of recent years is inserted flirtatiously between the front piece and the temple to add to the lightness of the eyewear. A color palette composed of Black, Tortoise Lace, Ivory, Lilac and Ice.
Model VPR 08O
The cult eyewear of recent years now in a vision version. The handbag logo and an eccentric look: that’s swing style. In classic Black, Ivory and Tortoise as well as stunning shades of blue, crystal and camel.
Model VPR 54O
Minimalist chic also has its eyewear. An elongated end piece connects to triangular-section temples in this icon of style. The arrow Prada logo is the signature on the spectacular design of this model. A color palette of Gold, Black, Bordeaux, Blue and Ivory.
Model VPR 01O
Timeless style for a model finished with new concepts in design. Lightweight, cool eyewear with an innovative hinge – the only one of its kind. The Prada logo seems to be sculpted out of the temple. Available in classic Black, Tortoise and sensational new Opal Ice.
Model VPR 02O
Square eyewear that’s classic and youthful. Style wears Prada: a heritage logo engraved on a metal tag and undulated temples for avant-garde and minimalist elegance. Black and Tortoise as well as shades of Brown and Denim.
Model VPR 06O
Elegance is reserved. Undeniable ‘90s shapes in an avant-garde, minimalist key. An “L” logo, inherited from the Milan couturier’s past, identifies the brand’s eternal essentialism. A befitting color palette pays homage to continuous research by the label.
PRADA SUN
Model SPR 32N
Square, elegant eyewear. The temples create a style that looks forward in time. The “Prada Milano 1913” logo that appears also on the handbags is the seal that identifies the label. Splashes of color for this eyewear in Tortoise/Ivory, Black/Camouflage Gray, Beige/Shaded Ice and Tortoise/Light Blue.
Model SPR 29N
A bold and fascinating look for minimalist chic. This eyewear is unquestionably a new icon for men. Brand essence is signed by the “L” Prada logo. Eternal Black and Tortoise. Ice is a new color for different versions of shaded lenses.
Model SPR 61N
A pure rimless with sights set overseas. With lightweight shapes and a light look, it is the ambassador for the Prada brand’s minimalist style. The “L” logo is the elegant signature on the temples. Black, Lead Gray, Brown and Pale Gold are the metallic colors of this eyewear’s soul.
