Okia: when art meets technology

Okia: when art meets technology

Okia is preparing something really special to welcome its new revolutionary era and has decided to announce it at Mido 2011.

HDA™ Technology is already widely known as an extraordinary technology by which an infinite range of colors and extremely realistic patterns can be created on acetate frames. And now OKIA is proud to take another step forward by opening up its patented technology to the world of art and illustrations.

To explain and demonstrate the potential synergy between any type of art and HDA™ Technology, OKIA will host at its Mido stand three professional illustrators with three different styles: Pucky, Kenny Wong and A Yip. In a live demonstration of painting, the three artists will be asked to illustrate their stories and ideas on the walls of the stand thereby showing that there is a strong bond between their art and HDA™ Technology: in the same way that a story can be told with illustrations, HDA™ Technology can express the personal style of any customer on frames and other products.

In addition, during a press conference announcing important novelties concerning Okia, each illustrator will present a personal HDA™ collection inspired by their drawings: yet another interesting opportunity for demonstrating how any graphics or painting style can be made with OKIA’s exceptional technology. The purpose of the 'HDA™ for Illustrators' project is to arouse the curiosity and interest not only of sector representatives but also of artists and designers in other fields. HDA™ Technology can express any idea, the only limitation is your imagination!

Lastly, this innovative project also aims to promote design and creative art at a prestigious international exhibition in Hong Kong.
