Now appointments for the Randazzo Group
Marco Ferrante, born 1968, has joined the Randazzo Group as sales manager of the Corner channel (Corner Optique brand). Ferrante takes over from Enrico Segner, born 1968, who has been appointed sales manager of Optissimo, the Groups’ chain of stores. The Randazzo Group, leading chain of opticians in Italy with more than 181 outlets to its name in over 15 regions and a turnover of more than 107 million euros, closed 2010 with an increase in revenues of 3.7% and net profit more than triple that of 2009, totalling 3.98 million euros.
Marco Ferrante was previously national head of marketing products and then head of non-food purchasing at Carrefour Italy (from 2000 to 2006), sales manager of Conforama for Italy and Croatia (from 2006 to 2008) and sales manager for Euronics Italia (from 2008 to 2010). He has also worked for S.A.I. assicurazioni, Exportex and the Promodes group.
Enrico Segner was head of sales and head of the Nuova Upim project team for the Rinascente Group (from 1992 to 1999), head of the sales office of the Bottega Verde store division (from 2000 to 2005), sales manager for the Stroili Oro Group (from 2005 to 2007), operations director in the retail division of the Admenta Italia Group (from 2007 to 2009) and sales manager of the Corner channel of the Randazzo Group (from 2009 to 2011).
These two new appointments follow on from that of Stefano Erculei, Genoese born 1959, who from sales manager of Optissimo was appointed purchasing manager for the Randazzo Group. Stefano Erculei was general manager of the Department Store division of Rinascente Spa (from 2002 to 2006) and head of the Emmezeta Moda chain (from 2006 to 2009), part of Conforama Italia (PPR Group).
The Randazzo Group, company founded in Palermo 130 years ago, has 102 traditional outlets and 79 corners in hypermarkets, in addition to more than 1,000 collaborators, selling opticians and employees. The process of combining the three Optissimo, Randazzo and Ottica Romani brands into one single brand named Optissimo - Gruppo Randazzo was recently completed.
