Lanvin: the first collection by Albert Elbaz
In collaboration with the De Rigo group, Lanvin has presented the first collection for men and women under the creative direction of Albert Elbaz. By creating a link with the traditional style of the fashion house, this exclusive line of sunglasses blends couture details with industrial aesthetics in a retro-contemporary mix. Screws, nails and studs are skillfully combined with precious materials like horn, leather, crystal and stones, whereas nuances of antique bronze or gunmetal have been used for the metal frames. Round or square geometrical shapes have been reinvented through a rich palette of contrasting colors and hues. Havana, black, ivory, gray-green, rust and the natural veining of horn are the collection’s predominant colors.
The latest couture detail that will be instantly recognized by connoisseurs is the Lanvin logo that has been handmade by Albert Elbaz and is transparently engraved on the shaded lenses.
RETRO-CHIC JEWELS Models inspired by the Lavin jewel and accessories collections in art deco style.
Mod. SLN001S: Jewel details for a chic, feminine look. Amber rhinestones and antique metal profiles give this model a retro touch. The square frame has smoky lenses and is embellished with a metal bar covered in animal print leather.
Mod. SLN512S: A modern style where a vintage spirit coexists with contemporary details, rhinestones, stones and the metal details that are a characteristic of Lanvin’s new jewels collection. Screws stand out on the round frame with temples in hammered metal decorated with small antiqued stones.
INDUSTRIAL TOUCH The couture details and industry-derived elements typical of Lanvin accessories were the main inspiration for these elegant models for men and women. The linear, pointed shapes of the refined frames are a distinctive mark of the fashion house.
Mod. SLN501: A square frame in veined horn enriched with metal details and leather inserts for a strong, decisive look.
Mod. SLN002: The geometrical frame tapers toward the double metal temple with an oversize hinge decorated with visible screws. A structural element that gives the eyewear an industrial line.
