De Rigo Vision: study grants for high schools and universities
Ennio De Rigo, president of the De Rigo Group, and shareholders Giorgio and Roberto De Rigo, sons of the late Senator Walter De Rigo, were pleased to announce that they have set up a special competition for merit-based study grants for the families of the Group’s employees.
The initiative is part of the Group’s social responsibility projects for supporting employees’ families during such difficult times as the economic crisis that is currently affecting Italy.
The study grants for 10 high school and 5 university students will be awarded annually to the children of employees of the Belluno-based group to honor the memory of the late Senator Walter De Rigo Piter whose entrepreneurial vision and charisma contributed to promoting the province of Belluno.
“The study grants aim at supporting further education for the most promising young people by helping families to overcome financial and social obstacles. The right to education is one of the main pillars on which the growth of future generations must be based”, emphasized Group President Ennio De Rigo.
“The project is in perfect tune with the values and interest in others that have always been a characteristic of our family and in which my brother Walter was always energetically involved. He set a huge example for all of us. We decided to invest in the education of new generations as we believe that we can make an important contribution to the development of our territory”, commented Giorgio and Roberto De Rigo. “The initiative stemmed from a spontaneous suggestion by the Group’s shareholders as a way of helping all the families who work at De Rigo Vision and De Rigo Refrigeration and is irrespective of any form of contractual negotiation.”
For employees of De Rigo Vision and De Rigo Refrigeration, the closing date for study grant applications is November 30, 2011.
