Benigno Zaccagnini Institute reconfirmed as provider of new CME

A new regulatory system has led to the rationalization of the large number of continuing education providers by making certain requirements mandatory.

For anyone seeking certification, the new regulations include certain very specific characteristics such as teaching facilities, laboratories and a teaching staff. In so doing, the number of certified providers of all CME disciplines has fallen rapidly from 16,000 to just over 300. The aim: to leave room for professional teachers by marginalizing those without the necessary qualifications.

While awaiting the outcome of legal action for the reinstatement of mandatory CME, on September 15 the Benigno Zaccagnini Institute of Optics and Optometry was recertified as a provider in confirmation of the professional quality and entrepreneurialism of its educational structures.
