10 billion applications were downloaded from the App Store by over 160 million iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users: these are the figures recently announced by Apple. The app world is going great guns!

“With over 10 billion apps downloaded in just two and a half years – and an incredible 7 billion last year alone – the App Store has exceeded our rosiest expectations” stated Philip Schiller, senior vice president of Apple’s Worldwide Product Marketing. “The App Store has revolutionized the way software is developed, distributed and sold”.

The App Store provides its users with 350,000 applications in 90 countries and another one will be available soon! Such unbelievable figures convinced Mido to offer its operators a service that is just a touch away. The Mido app will provide useful information about getting to and finding your way around the exhibition and for planning the easiest route covering areas of personal interest. It will also give information about exhibiting companies.

Mido has also created a special mobile site which users of other smartphones can access at www.mido.com to obtain the same information as the app.

The app can be downloaded free from the App Store after February 25, in time for Mido (March 4-5-6, 2011).
