Vanni: results of Autofocus1 competition

The winner of the Autofocus1 competition is Federica Gonnelli. Her exhibition project was selected by critic
Olga Gambari to be displayed in the Vanni area during Turin’s contemporary art week starting November 7, 2009.

The reason for the choice: “For the Vanni competition Federica Gonnelli presented a project based on her idea of vision and the crossing of physical and temporal dimensions.

A lens, a transparent veil that envelops reality, memory, self-perception. Her project creates an artistic location that encompasses different expressions and, at the same time, opens a window on other paths. Gonnelli imagines a space where the human situation becomes a poetic and symbolic narrative, but without ignoring its earthly and material nature. This young artist has shown a profoundness of thought and altruistic vision.”
