
Transitions Optical: more top-level appointments
Transitions Optical has announced new developments in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Commercial Division.
Laurent Dosseville has been promoted to Commercial Manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, a position previously covered by Lindsay Brown, who was recently appointed General Manager, EMEA. In addition to his new position, Laurent Dosseville will continue to be a director of Lencaster Sales, where he will manage and guide the development and consolidation of strategic collaborations with Transitions’ major partners in Europe. He will also be responsible for the implementation of market strategies with local and regional partners. “Laurent Dosseville’s considerable commercial experience, his strong leadership and huge dedication will be fundamental elements in our continuing expansion and growth”, stated Lindsay Brown.
Laurent Dosseville joined Transitions in 1998, initially as Trade Manager for France and subsequently as Sales Manager – Central Europe, Commercial Manager for France/Benelux and then Essilor Senior Business Director for North America. Since 2008 he has been a director of Lencaster Sales for EMEA. A graduate in Optics and Optometry at the Institute and Centre of Optometry in France, he gained an Executive MBA at Reims Management School.
Matt Dorling has been promoted to Business Director for North Europe and takes over from Roland Allen who was recently appointed Sunwear Director for EMEA and Asia. Dorling will coordinate the North Europe team, provide the guidelines for business growth, develop and implement commercial strategies for the British, Irish, Nordic and Baltic markets.
Dorling joined Transitions in 1999 as Trade Developer and with increasing responsibility rose from Area Business Manager UK to Country Manager UK. In 2005, he decided to go to Carl Zeiss Vision UK as Lenses Divisional Manager. After a year, Dorling returned to Transitions as Retail Business Manager – HAL Group and was subsequently promoted to Country Manager for the Nordic/Baltic regions. He is a qualified optician.
