
Transitions: jungle atmosphere
Transitions Optical’s presence at Mido this year did not go unnoticed.
Leader of the photochromic lenses sector, the company recreated a jungle at its stand and invited opticians to watch its new TV spot.
Repeating the theme of the 2008 campaign, the new spot tells the story of a reporter whose passion is capturing the beauties of nature and sharing his adventurous “vision of life” with his public. Once again, the main character relies on vision quality and perfection in his profession and, as a consequence, emphasizes the importance of Transitions® lenses as indispensable allies for protecting the eyes from reflections and the harmful effects of UV rays.
This new and evocative TV spot is set in a South African jungle and highlights how Transitions lenses help you to take care of your sight, allowing you to “live your vision of life” – just like the character whose camera captures the natural marvels of the planet. “The new television campaign reconfirms the key theme, “Live Your Vision”, on which the Transitions lenses communication is based” commented Roberto Bellavista, Country Manager Transitions Optical Italia – “and underscores the importance of good vision”.
The message, which will reach millions of consumers in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, encourages viewers to get more information about Transitions® lenses from their optician. Opticians can also download the spot from www.transitions.com and project it on a screen in their store.
The new Transitions Optical television campaign was made by Saatchi&Saatchi of New York City and was launched February 19 on the main national networks, Rai, Mediaset and Sky.
It will be backed up by a print campaign in Italy’s main magazines scheduled to begin end March.
