Ted Baker Launch New Eyewear Collection

The new Global eyewear is inspired by Ted Baker’s Global apparel range of highly individual clothes, designed for the man of taste. Targeted at the confident male who wants to stand out from the crowd, Global eyewear has no logo detailing on the outside of the frame, this is a conscious decision by Ted Baker who feels it is enough for the wearer to simply know they are wearing one of his Global frames.

Ted Baker Global is where English Tailoring meets eccentric contemporary dressing. Offering a quintessential, luxury wardrobe of limited edition pieces, it’s perfect for the discerning man who wants to make a statement. In Ted’s own words “This is formal wear with a twist”. Only available at a very limited number of Ted Baker stores, Global clothing is created from premium materials and includes beautiful designs and clever tailoring.

Each facet of Ted’s Global wardrobe is embroidered with a hidden Latin phrase and this theme is continued on the eyewear where it is printed in gold on the inside of the acetate models and engraved into the top of the metal frames. Reading “sapentia rectius experti est quam spectatoris” translated this means “True insight comes from what we know as much as what we see.”

The eyewear, which includes an optical and sunglass collection, incorporates many design features from Global suiting, including hidden details and luxurious finishes.
Comprising 9 optical styles and 11 sunglass models, the collection has a vintage feel which incorporates oversized frames and heavy styling. Made in Japan from premium materials, the eyewear presents a combination of hand finished acetate and metal models.

Decoration on the outside of the frames includes engraved metal designs on the temples and hinges and incorporates colours in the layered acetate sides that represent either the Jacquard lining, striped shirting or Paisley designs found inside Global suits, where brightly decorated silk linings, adorn the inside of jackets.

Included in the Ted Baker Global Eyewear package is a superb range of point of sale material. Using a theme of antique gold picture frames, the items include a 3 piece display, a choice of images in their own gold picture frame, showcards and banners and a presentation tray for the eyewear collection. To complete the customer experience, the Eyewear is supplied in a gift box which contains the leather-style frame case and luxury lens cloth. Opticians will be supplied with a quantity of branded, carry-out bags which match other elements of the Global eyewear packaging.
