Piero Massaro presents new '70 collection

Inspired by Callas and the large, black glasses of that divine and timeless style icon, Piero Massaro has reinvented retro shapes to create his new '70 collection with an unmistakable imprint where the rounded lines of the front pieces and the sober colors of the acetates blend well with the bright colors of the end pieces.

But Piero Massaro has not limited his stylistic versatility to the eyewear of yesteryear, he has imprinted them with his own ideas about design, a continual experiment distinguished by the exclusiveness of totally-Italian manual workmanship combined with very high-quality materials and attention to exceptional finishes.

The designer’s eyewear collection is joined by a new accessories collection: bags, belts, wallets, diaries, key rings and rings; all the accessories are linked to the eyewear by elegant details, buckles or buttons made in the same cellulose acetate as the eyewear.

This is a totally new concept because, until a short time ago, the material was used exclusively for making eyewear. It began last year with the creation of the world’s first cellulose acetate watch, an innovation that continues this year with the new plateau ring: made by superimposing acetate that has been milled and finished by hand, it is an amusing jewel that adds a touch of originality to any outfit.

These new projects have been developed and completed also thanks to a very few, but invaluable companies and courageous artisans that have willingly worked with patience and passion on the projects of a designer who is adamant about presenting an absolutely artisan product that can genuinely claim to be "made by hand in Italy".
