Marchon Eyewear: new to the top floor

Marchon® Eyewear today announced the appointment of Nicola Zotta as managing director of the EMEA regions. Zotta will be in charge of the commercial, operations and marketing management of the company in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will be responsible also for export sales and area distributors.

Zotta will report to Claudio Gottardi, president of Marchon and chief executive of Marchon
International. Zotta boasts over 13 years’ experience in the eyewear sector with the Safilo Group, where until recently he was the Group’s Marketing and License Director.

“Nicola’s addition to the Marchon team is the key to strengthening our global strategy in terms of brand development and distribution”, Gottardi stated. “We aim at implementing an aggressive growth strategy for the European market”.
Nicola Zotta’s professional experience includes sales, finance, information technology, logistics, direct marketing and brand strategy.

“I see aggressive growth for Marchon on a global scale, with focus on European and Asian markets” Zotta commented. “Marchon has an excellent team that is ready to capitalize on this opportunity and make the Company a global leader”.

Born in Italy, Zotta graduated in economics from the University of Trento and subsequently he acquired an Executive Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Essec Business School in Paris. He will be based at Marchon headquarters in Amsterdam.
