Maranello – Active Sunglasses are here

A new collection of frames designed for high-level sports to ensure that athletes always have the most suitable eyewear. In this project set up by Mr. Alessandro Bacci, Italian taste is expressed in autonomous design emphasized by colors and finishes. The in-depth anatomical study of the frames has made them perfect for even the most extreme sports. In short, a line created to achieve perfect balance between the frame and lenses to guarantee lightness, protection and vision comfort, even in the most difficult conditions and with extended wear.

The lenses play a fundamental role in sunglasses and, in particular, in sport eyewear. Maranello – Active Sunglasses has a high-profile partner: Carl Zeiss Vision Sunlenses.

Special frames and lenses have been chosen and they are each dedicated to different sports: Beach Volleyball, Running, Sailing, Golf, Driving, Rowing, Shooting, Powerboating, Tennis and Cycling.

The collection includes an internal frame for the insertion of corrective lenses, if required.

The models in detail:

Clipper is dedicated to sailing. This wraparound eyewear has an adjustable nosepiece, straight temples and end pieces in Megol for maximum comfort and protection for cruising or regattas. The Wider Frame side inserts come in two sizes and enhance the qualities of this frame. The end pieces can be adapted thanks to the metal core. The frame is in Grilamid TR90, a particularly light material with excellent stability at all temperatures; it is also resistant to chemicals, water, and ageing.

Fairway is designed for golfers at any level. This frame is based on the tried-and-tested geometries of the Fire model. It has the same qualities of lightness and stability and is combined with Side Extended lenses. This model is also made in Grilamid TR90.

Wraparound goggles with the unexpected qualities of wearability and comfort have been designed for running. Thanks to their lightness and wide one-piece lens, they are the perfect companion for athletes because they give exceptional visibility and protection. Polycarbonate frame and lenses.

For Beach Volleyball, Maranello presents Sand: eyewear with a minimalist design for difficult weather conditions. The shape of the temples and nosepiece gives this model stability and comfort without adding to the weight. This model is also made in Grilamid TR90.

Steer is the frame dedicated to driving. Elegant and dynamic, it combines protection and visibility. The “new edge” design is enriched with distinctive elements like the almost straight, flat temples with an anatomic nosepiece that gives a particularly comfortable fit, even on long journeys.

For rowers, the best compromise between lightness and stability is found in Stroke, a frame with sought-after design that extends from the upper central part, into which the lenses are fitted, and blends with the anatomic nosepiece. This model’s strong character is emphasized by its triangular shape. A very comfortable fit thanks to the slim, flat temples.

Target is the model created for shooting. The lenses are interchangeable at bridge level, but the ends are free. The wraparound front piece seamlessly joins the straight temples to give a comfortable fit in any situation, even under a helmet.

To ensure the complete enjoyment of time spent on a yacht, it is important to protect the eyes with eyewear that will cope with any situation. Throttle is the lightweight, wraparound frame made for powerboating, with a nosepiece and end pieces in Megol for maximum comfort.

Minimalist, dynamic design for Topspin, the tennis eyewear featuring a wraparound design and absolute lightness thanks to the greater stability provided by the shape of the temples, and a nosepiece that offers a very comfortable fit.

Lastly, for cycling there’s Tour, which guarantees the correct circulation of airflow to prevent fogging. The nosepieces and end pieces are synonymous with comfort, even when cycling for long periods.
