Luxottica renews collaboration with Ferragamo

Luxottica and Salvatore Ferragamo Italia S.p.A., the lead company in the Ferragamo Group and one of the main players in the luxury sector worldwide, have announced the three-year extension of the license contract for the design, production and global distribution of vision frames and sunglasses with the Salvatore Ferragamo label. The new agreement will expire December 2011, with an option to renew for another two years under the same conditions.

Luxottica Group CEO Andrea Guerra commented: “The collaboration with Salvatore Ferragamo dates back to 1998 so this is one of the historical licenses in our portfolio. We are pleased that we can continue to work together and develop new collections that focus on the Made-in-Italy quality that our customers and consumers throughout the world recognize in our products”.

Michele Norsa, CEO at Salvatore Ferragamo, added: “We are pleased to renew the agreement with Luxottica and to consolidate our long partnership with the most prestigious company in the eyewear sector. It is a relationship that contributes to making our brand even stronger in the world’s luxury market”.
