Inottica presents new Barbie sun in Paris
The new Barbie Sun Collection for 2010 debuts in Paris… Inottica focuses on pink.
For years and years, Barbie’s real strength without a shadow of a doubt has been the use of the color pink, the distinctive element of this historical brand and for the 2010 Sun Collection Inottica has focused precisely on this strongly characterizing component.
Pink Power. Just two words to describe the new Barbie Sun Collection by Inottica; the various pastel shades have been abandoned and Inottica’s style has focused on a return that goes back almost to its origins, when the “classic Barbie pink” predominated in all models.
Bright, almost shocking pink, combined exclusively with black and white has led to models with sober, clean and, in their simplicity, extremely original lines. Barbie Sun eyewear by Inottica is increasingly becoming a fashion element distinguished by elegance and style.
The unmistakable personality of the 2010 Barbie Sun Collection is also expressed in the iconographic choices; the little hearts and fairytale elements have gone and the Collection now aims at “quilted” effects that create surface movement and depth. The more romantic frames have a “lace effect” embellished with stylized flowers and contrasting colors.
There are models with multicolor dots, versions with spirals where black, white and pink stand out against white or black temples. Not to mention the models with one-color vertical stripes that blend with a stylized visual of Barbie’s face.
Most of the models feature luxury elements, small accents of light created by rhinestones, glitter and diamonds.
As to new materials, now there are models in extra-shiny rubber which are lightweight and wraparound for an ultra-comfortable fit; obviously paying homage to Vintage are the metal frames with a geometrical contrast between the angled shape of the front piece and the harmonious, rounded decorative elements on the temples.
