Halle Berry photographed wearing Dsquared2

Halle Berry photographed wearing Dsquared2

A few days ago, the famous actress was photographed walking along a New York City street wearing a model from the new sun collection presented for the 2009-2010 season.

“Absolutely mix’n’match” is the must that inspired the new Dsquared2 Eyewear collection. Once again animated by extreme contrasts in shape, size and styles, it is totally in line with the company’s philosophy.
An exciting mix of old and new, luxury and basic, daring combos and clean, more minimalist lines for 17 new models dedicated to bold consumers who don’t just want to “yell”, hey, look at me, but also want to leave their mark.

The Dsquared2 woman is capable of being a style icon as well as an enviably spontaneous girl and can choose from the ten new sun frames to experiment with different looks depending on her mood.
She’ll prefer seductive and refined models like DQ32 and DQ33 in ultra-light metal, or DQ30 and DQ31 in acetate and metal, to play the part of a more mature woman. But she’ll also have fun alternating the more vivacious models like DQ34 and DQ35 for a day as Lolita.

Models DQ36,DQ37,DQ38 and DQ39 are ideal for “gossip girls”, women who want to avoid the indiscreet attention of paparazzi and admirers by hiding behind oversize eyewear with details in shiny metal that emphasize their provocative character.

The seven models for men follow the same “young-mature” concept of the line for women, but the boundaries are very subtle and suggest a provocative exchange of roles.
Seventies inspired and decidedly feisty, models DQ21 and DQ22 are for young consumers who don’t choose accessories to complete their look but as a fundamental part of it.
Again inspired by the Seventies, model DQ29 is the collection’s only one-piece and has an audacious character that also suits female features. The front piece has an ultra-light metal outline with the “D” logo in the center and makes the model ideal for anyone who wants to clearly express their class of style.

Ultra-light pilot models DQ22 and DQ23 meet the needs of a mature consumer, as do models DQ27 and DQ28, which are thicker and enhanced by milling on the acetate.

The stars of the new advertising campaign inspired by an amusing apres-party are super-top-model Lara Stone and model Kerry Degman, who wear the season’s two icons.
Model DQ31 is sophisticated but still has the decisive character that distinguishes the Dsquared2 woman: a reinterpretation of the classical pilot that inspired the period of transition between the Seventies and Eighties, it combines a look that is both “rebellious” and glamorous.
The icon model for men is an elegant development of the top models in the first collection. The edgy outlines of the first models have been given softer profiles in DQ27, perfect eyewear for a mature consumer who is aware of his charm.

DQ21: sunglasses for men that continue the trend of the previous collection and conjure up the world of hip-hop in Seventies America. Polished metal in various colors confers strength to the frame, while the open grille on the temples makes the eyewear lighter and comfortable.

DQ24: pilot style with a sporty flavor for men in ultra-light metal made elegant by leather details on the top bar and the temples, which highlight the frame’s natural and sophisticated colors. A touch of retro in shaded or one-color lenses with flash treatment.

DQ30: this frame for women has a double soul with something of the irreverence typical of the Seventies combined with the glamour of the Eighties. The wide front piece in acetate is embellished with a bridge in polished metal, while the temples in the same color as the bridge are personalized with a laser-engraved Dsquared2 logo.

DQ34: vivacious, colorful, lightweight, this acetate model is perfect for younger women who like sunglasses in original, contrasting colors. In this version, the bright red front piece is combined with ivory-colored temples, but it is also available in purple-brown, orange-purple or in more sober colors like black, Havana and beige.

DQ39: the most daring model for women in the collection was created to be noticed. In acetate, the surfaces have unusual shapes, especially the front piece which has external sides embellished with refined decorations in metal.
