Furla: new sunglasses collection 2010
For its new Sunglass Collection 2010, Furla offers a sophisticated range of models which are all inspired and in perfect harmony with the themes of its leather collection: Evolve and Imagineer.
The models of the Evolve line draw inspiration from classical forms in nature, such as the beehive honeycomb geometrical shapes or the sleek and shiny curves of the marine world, with a touch of summer fun added. Colours are soft, like mother-of-pearl and powder pink, while lenses are elegantly graduated. Frames are customized by small decorations, typical of the world of Furla, such as hinges and buckles, slightly raised on the Rhodoid models, or recreated thanks to shiny and opaque contrasting finishes in the metal models. A refined vintage flavour is added to the ‘butterfly-shape’ models, extremely feminine and stylish, with a small and original cylinder-shaped piece decorated by a python insert on rounded-off temples. Moreover, retro, wide profile sunglasses are offered in various shades of spotted Havana brown, with a keyhole bridge, made purposely for the romantic woman. The most valuable models are adorned with enamelled metal decorations embellished with rhinestones. And last but not least, the comeback of aviator lenses, classic or slightly square, on lightweight frames with tubular temples, personalized with metal ornaments.The models of the Imagineer line are, instead, a mixture of retro and futuristic design, characterised by more geometrical shapes and marked 1980s contrasts, for a pop, cheerful and colourful look. Ample shapes and firm lines for sunglasses which distinguish themselves by playing with colour, recreated thanks to multi-layered, cellulose acetate. Bright colours, such as orange and ivory, over dark and rich dominating tones, such as black, Bordeaux red and brown. Sophisticated metal details embellish end pieces and temples in order to create a youthful and beguiling design.
The new Furla Sunglasses Collection is made up of 15 models and will be available at the best opticians in Italy and all over the world, from November 2009.
LEONORA
Soft lines and slim profiles for this model, embellished by small metal details on the temples and around the nose.
It comes in soft colours such as mother-of-pearl, powder pink and honey with elegantly shaded-off lenses.
ADRIANA
Wide and hexagonal, acetate model, characterized by a play of geometrical lines in both its shape and its materials. Multifaceted temples for a retro-futuristic look. An original, metal decoration follows the front’s upper contours. It comes in total black, bordeaux red, ivory, and black with golden upper section. Its lenses are graduated.
DESDEMONA
Elegant, metal model embellished with curved and enamelled end pieces and with a tactile decoration that matches the detail of open-work lace which joins the front to the acetate temples. It comes in black, brown, white and pink. A very special variation of this model comes with rhinestones.
