Ferragamo presents new vision collection 2009
Luminous, colorful and alternating surfaces dominate the proposals for women.
Feisty colors and modern shapes for model 2672, a front piece in shaded translucent acetate and temples in luminous nuances of orange, purple, pink, gray-green and transparent with a black top. The same contemporary and dynamic feeling also for model 2673: a front piece in transparent acetate, semi-rimless lenses and temples printed with animal designs and the Gancini logo inspired by prints that identify the brand.
Completely new versions of the Gancini and Vara icons, the protagonists of some contemporary models.
In model 2671, the temple joint is elegant enameled-metal double Gancini. In transparent, striped or spotted acetate and vivacious colors like purple, red, yellow and light blue.
A jewel-effect pattern is the protagonist in model 1847B featuring rimless lenses and large temples. The hinge is formed by mirror-images of two Gancini set in rhinestones the same color as the temples. Model 2670 is an extremely elegant and balanced acetate frame that pays tribute to the Vara buckle on a special hinge connecting the front piece to the temples.
Model 1852 is the first vision frame with a traditional Ferragamo pattern: polychrome Tavarnelle lace made by artisans in the Tuscan city of the same name. Using a technologically leading-edge procedure, the temples of the metal frame are outlined by fine wires woven to create a floral pattern in a play of brightly colored resins.
The large, clean shapes of the models for men are a stylistic reference to the Sixties in classical colors like black or tortoise and refined hues like honey, ruby or with blue veining.
Model 2590 is a revamp of the classical rounded front piece. Also vintage-inspired is model 2669 with a silhouette brought up to date with bright one-color or veined acetate and a feisty variant with camouflage temples. 2668 is a large, classically-shaped frame revisited in acetate with low temples.
With semi-rimless lenses, models 1842 and 1843 are lightweight, uniform models in metal dominated by elegant geometries and personalized with parallelepiped temples.
