The TOUS fall/winter 2009 collection is inspired by Twenties fashions and combines contemporary elegance with the classic vintage style of jazz and the Charleston. A retro-inspired wraparound model in milled metal. The rich acetate decoration on the temples is inspired by Tous’ jewel collection “Dama” and conjures up the “belle époque” of the Twenties in an unmistakable style that combines the past and the present. Contemporary elegance is enhanced also by the drop decoration on the front piece inserted in a chiasm of colors and spaces. Gradient and one-color lenses support the color axis to give an elegant tone on tone based on the Dama decoration. An injected model with metal details on the nose and front piece. This model is made special by the complex workmanship of the bar decoration in the center of the temples; it runs along the temples and emerges at each
nosepiece, a conceptual repetition of the temples on the metal model with the “Dama” decoration. In this model, it is elegantly inserted at the start of the temples in the same special and sophisticated shaded colors of the model itself. The front piece has clean, very characteristic lines: a generous shape conveys the dictates of the latest fashion trends and takes us back to coast-to-coast travel in the US of the Fifties. The combination of thicknesses, voids and plays of light with the lightness of the metal nose piece gives this eyewear even more importance. This feminine and elegant acetate model stands out because of its conceptual cleanness and retro-inspired lines. The rectangular front piece is in special faceted acetate that makes it both linear and luxurious. The part of the temples nearest the nose piece is enriched with a metal decoration that repeats all the details of the Tous jewel in the “Cruise” family, where the bear is shown with an internal ring. Thanks to the admirable workmanship, this is a small jewel within a jewel, a delightful discovery with unique plays of light in the version with rhinestones.
