Alain Mikli and Delfina Delettrez team up to transform art into eyewear

The collaboration between eyewear creator Alain Mikli and Delfina Delettrez, the daughter of jeweler Bernard Delettrez, is a style team that translates into luxury. Delettrez expressed her creativity in the goldsmith’s art when she presented her first collection of jewelry in Paris October 2007.

For her first collection of sun frames, the young designer has opted for Mikli’s creative inspiration and they will work together on the four limited edition models in cellulose acetate embellished with sterling silver charms, an adaptation of the elements in the jewelry that is so popular with celebrities the world over.

In “chain”, the temples are replaced by precious chains and in “spider” a web is woven over the lenses supported by bright red frames.

An eye in Murano glass with a silver chain edged with black cellulose lashes decorates the asymmetrical temples in “eye”. Pierced surgical metal and chain charms in sterling silver decorate the front piece and the nosepiece of the frames in the “Gothic piercing” model.
