Adidas Eyewear on the podium of the 2009 world cycling championships

Adidas Eyewear on the podium of the 2009 world cycling championships

An unexpected and extraordinary silver medal. Noemi Cantele came in second in the women’s chrono, 55" behind the American Kristin Armstrong. The Italian national team member beat out the Danish Villumsen and the German Arndt. "I never expected to win the silver medal, it’s as if it wasn't me peddling," said Cantele, 28, almost incredulously. During the race I couldn’t understand if I was doing well or not. I heard about my time about 4 kilometres from the end and was sick… It was a very strange race. I felt like I was doing well, but I never though I'd end up on the podium. Yesterday I had said that it would have been a success to place among the top ten, but I really deserve this medal."
The Italian national champion is the official Adidas Eyewear athlete, sporting the best cycling eyewear in the collection since the past season: Supernova.
As a brand name that has always tested its products in the field, Adidas Eyewear (www.adidas.com/eyewear) knows the importance of sports eyewear, satisfying demands like adaptability and visual protection, and offers a model capable of sustaining great athletic performance while weighing in at a mere 21 grams.

Supernova glasses boast several technical characteristics: the TRI.FIT™ system, thanks to which the hinge slants in 3 different positions for optimal adjustment; the Double-Snap Nose Bridge™ that can be regulated in two positions to adapt perfectly to any individual.

The lenses feature a LST™ technology that increases colour contrasts and, at the same time, harmonizes sudden variations in light caused by rapid passages from sunny and shady zones. The result is less fatigue on the eye so that athletes can channel all their energy into giving their best performance.
