A prestigious result for Italy at Las Vegas

Again this year, the third place in the Poster competition at the Global Specialty Lens Symposium held in Las Vegas January 15 through 18, went to an Italian. Giancarlo Montani, Optics and Optometry degree course professor at the University of Salento, achieved the prestigious result again this year with his poster “Eye drop effects on the stability of keratoscopic images during corneal topography examination”.

Satisfaction with the result is also linked to the high quality of the 33 posters presented, a growing demonstration that Italian optometry has now reached such levels of maturity that it can rightfully compete in the most advanced international scenarios.
