1st Italian Ski Championship for Opticians and Optometrists

With the support of Federottica, the Alto Adige Association of Opticians and Optometrists and with the collaboration of FLAIM Import, its distributor in Italy, MormaiiEyewear has organized this first Mormaii Cup championship which will take place March 21 through 24 in Val Gardena. The event will also include a refresher course.
The subjects discussed concern disorders caused by the incorrect use of contact lenses and the complications deriving from laser treatments. The speakers at the event are Dr. Serena Dal Pozzo, an oculist at Arezzo Hospital, and Prof. Maria Cristina Boschi of the University of Florence.

Any proceeds from the event will be allocated to the Special Olympics Association whose athletes will be the forerunners with some Italian ski champions.

In detail, individual participants will check-in to their hotels Saturday, March 21. Ski-passes and information about the following days can be collected at the conference office.
After cocktails at the Casa di Cultura Selva di Val Gardena, the first talk will begin at 4.30 pm. The meetings and talks will be followed the next day by a typical dinner in a Tyrolese chalet.

The race will begin Monday, 23, at 9 am and at 3 pm the winners of all categories will be presented with their awards. This will be followed by the last talk on the abovementioned subjects.

Participants return home the following day.
