Another victory for Hoya
Augmented Reality wins Smau Mob App competition The spread of Hoya Apps has been accompanied by one success after another since their launch. They are the result of the technological and innovative orientation that Hoya, the Smart System Company, has always had. After it received the Silmo D'Or early October for visuReal Portable, Hoya was again the protagonist Friday morning when it was presented with the Smau Mob App Award by Milan Polytechnic's School of Business Observatories in collaboration with Smau. The aim of the competition is to award the most innovative Apps for smartphones and tablets in the Consumer and Business categories, which were won by Hoya. A total of about 100 business Apps were entered by 83 companies or independent developers. Hoya's Augmented Reality was the winner because of "realistic vision simulation that is a clear and faithful reproduction of what is really seen when wearing glasses". Hoya's Augmented Reality is an App for iPads that was developed to show wearers – or anyone wearing eyeglasses for the first time – what they will really see with the lenses made to personal parameters. Eye care professionals who use it in their optical centers testify to the effectiveness of this App explaining the advantages of and selling a superior category of lenses. The effects are immediate: wearers have a buying experience that is more engaging and better informed; opticians have a more technological and modern image which differentiates them from competitors and attracts customers to their Optical Center.
