De Rigo's relaunch

An article published in Il Mondo disclosed the analysts' positive opinion about the De Rigo Group, despite the disappointing results of 2002 and the premature end to the joint-venture with Prada, which signed a new ten-year agreement with Luxottica in July.

- January through July profits should show a clear turn-around after a year when they had halved, dropping to 10.6 million euros from the 21.2 of 2001;
- the retail chains owned by the group are taking off;
- the Sting, Police and Lozza brands are doing well and in the fall they should be the protagonists of a sales drive with new testimonials from the sporting world (see the recent agreement with Michael Schumacher) and from show business.

Again according to the analysts, the turnaround took place in the second quarter with the resumption of orders.

Back
