Strategic agreement between Marcolin and Rivoli Group

Strategic agreement between Marcolin and Rivoli Group

Increased company strength in the Middle East market and consolidation of the partnership between the two companies in that area Marcolin and Rivoli Group, both characterized by a background deeply rooted in the luxury and fashion sectors, have signed a mid- to long-term strategic agreement for the sale of Marcolin products in the Middle East. The collaboration envisages further strengthening of the Italian company's presence in the Middle Eastern market and, with Rivoli as the main distributor of Marcolin's brands, the consolidation of the partnership between the two companies in that area.   Marcolin is one of the world's leading manufacturers and distributors in the eyewear sector and Rivoli Group is the major worldwide distributor of brands by the Richemont Group, with a strong retail presence in Dubai. The aim shared by both companies is maximum penetration of the reference market to be pursued by leveraging the bigger portfolio of Marcolin brands and continuing along the path of development. Part of this scenario is the decision to appoint Rivoli Group to handle the 55DSL, Diesel and Swarovski brands starting November 15, 2013. Rivoli already distributes Marcolin products in the area for eyewear licenses DSquared2, Just Cavalli, Montblanc, Roberto Cavalli, Timberland, Tod's, Tom Ford and Web.   Valerio Giacobbi, Marcolin General Manager Sales and Strategy, stated: "This new agreement with Rivoli is important for Marcolin and in line with our strategy; the richness and comprehensiveness of our brand portfolio is a fundamental element in closer relationships with our distributors and partners on a global scale". Uday Shrikantia, Group General Manager at Rivoli Group, declared: "Our strategic alliance with Marcolin will benefit both companies and we will continue to deliver high standards of fashion eyewear to retailers and, as a consequence, to consumers in the Middle East".
