Start of 5th Autofocus

This year's Vanni-supported contest for young artists will include European designers Not one but two new developments for the launch of the fifth edition of the young art competition promoted by VANNI eyewear.   The new competition targets young artists not only from Italy but also from other parts of Europe and will be open to artistic expression in the visual arts as well as in creative design as the free manifestation of artistic talent.   The Autofocus 5 competition is promoted with the support of GAI – Associazione per il Circuito dei Giovani Artisti Italiani (the association for the circuit of young Italian artists) – and is open to 18- to 35-year-old artists and designers from any European Union country.   In previous years the competition had an excellent selection of projects with awards going to Federica Gonnelli, Giulia Bonora, Francesco Fossati and Cosimo Veneziano. The competition involves the creation of an exhibition project that can be adapted to the VANNI eyewear space in Turin. Complete with purchase prize and catalog, it will be displayed during contemporary art week in November 2013.   The young artist or designer will be invited to Turin for the preview of his or her project. They will have maximum freedom of expression on the subject of Autofocus 5, which opens up to the artists' view of the universe to tell the story of their subjective dimension, world and vision.
