Milano6769: at Mido to consolidate our brand

R.Iazzolino: "Eyewear 2013? The pursuit of style and excellent quality" "At Milano6769, the pursuit of style and excellent quality are unescapably combined. Our philosophy for achieving these results makes it absolutely necessary that our products are 100% Made in Italy". This was how Roberto Iazzolino, CEO of Eye Technologies Group which owns the Milano6769 brand, describes 2013 eyewear for which Mido is the first important exhibition.   - Apropos of Mido, what do you expect from this edition and from 2013 in general? "A year has passed since the presentation of the Milano6769 brand and we believe that Mido 2013 is our most important appointment for officially consolidating our brand and collections at international level."   -Let's go into detail about the new products you will present on this occasion. "We won't present solely variations of our Classic line, but also two new lines. Milano6769 Minimal, a line entirely in extra-slim acetate. The temples, also extra-slim, have a steel core with a memory effect. Milano6769 Original is a line distinguished by acetates bonded in unique and special colors."   - Research and innovation. Do they really represent the keys to the sector? "Yes, certainly, as long as they keep the strong roots that have always distinguished frame making in Italy. To us, innovation does not mean forgetting Italian excellence and eyewear is certainly one of them."   - It seems that in order to capture particular segments of the market, large companies increasingly aim for big numbers through acquisitions and smaller companies target specialization. Do you think this trend will be consolidated in the future? "We believe that if opticians are to compete in a mass market they must increasingly look for a "niche" product that distinguishes them. We consider that our constant pursuit of style and technique is a valid tool."   - Which word describes your company? "Enlightened".
