Marchon Italia: certified production facilities
The Veneto-based company has certified its production facilities for environmental sustainability and safety in the workplace The company has achieved the ISO 14001:2004 certification for environmental management and the OHSAS 18001:2007 certification for the management of health and safety in the workplace. Thanks to constant attention towards the principles of sustainability, quality and safety, Marchon Italia – a subsidiary of VSP, a US group and world leader for the integrated management of visual care – has achieved two important international acknowledgements for its production facilities at Puos d'Alpago and Fortogna. UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 certification guarantees the development of an effective environmental management system with regard to pollution, the rational use of energy sources and the appropriate disposal of waste and refuse. OHSAS 18001 certifies the company's reliability in terms of the effective and efficient management of health and safety in the workplace by implementing systematic prevention and protection actions aimed at minimizing risks for employees. The certificates are valid for three years and were issued by the certification committee of SGS Systems & Service Certification, the world leader for inspections, verifications, tests and certification.
