Answering for Immagine 98 is the commercial manager, Susi Tabacchi: "In general, we expect a more positive attitude and everyone's determination to be more optimistic and enthusiastic about the future. I hope that special products which require a considerable commitment in terms of research, design and technology will be the powerful driving force behind the recovery." Let's go into detail about the new products you will present on this occasion. Is there a common denominator for eyewear in 2013? And is there a color for next season? "We will present several new products. Primarily, we wanted to look at the future with fewer gray tones and more colorful hues: color will be the common denominator in our collections. Colorful eyewear, special plastics, a return to metal frames in bright colors. In other words, a real palette that adds an artistic touch to our products. The color of the year? Green." The words most frequently used in eyewear are research and innovation. Do they really represent the sector's reference point? "Research and development have always been our key words, they are our very essence. We are convinced that only research and innovation will allow us to distinguish ourselves through original designer collections like the ones we propose. Our creative office has always been the jewel in the company's crown and we strongly believe that this is the only road to take." The domestic market is at a sort of stabilization stage, but the market abroad is giving positive signals. Which markets are the most important for your company? "The domestic market is still an important part of our business, despite signs that are not comforting. Concerning foreign markets, in addition to France, we mainly do direct business in Canada and the United States. Furthermore, we place great focus on Germany, where we recently began direct sales." How can we describe your company? "A creative boutique based on the exchange of values and the search for excellence led by a dedicated group whose strong points are design, research and Made in Italy."
