Hapter inspired by Second World War
The idea stems from old military glacier glasses found in the Dolomites in 2009 Hapter was inspired by old military glacier glasses supplied during the Second World War and found on a Dolomites' peak in 2009. Three years of research led to an exclusive industrial process that enables the combination of artisan expertise and high technology to create an object that transmits the subtle sensations typical of traditional objects – with a new touch. Txtl001, the first collection in a discreet and harmonious range of colors influenced by natural hues, is characterized by a distinctive texture achieved by the special fusion of surgical steel and Lanificio F.lli Cerruti up-market fabrics inspired by their archives of military uniforms of the Twenties and Forties. It is said that without the past there is no future: Hapter already possesses the great ability to look ahead while sinking its roots in experience and knowledge of Italian manufacturing. This enabled it to be the first Italian eyeglasses not yet on the market to win the prestigious iF Product Design Award 2013, the most important international award for design.
