
Certottica: “Style and Design” course now at seventh edition
The aim is to train 12 professionals capable of integrating technical and creative ability with knowledge of the market Certottica presents the seventh edition of its Eyewear and Fashion Accessory Style and Design Technician course. It is strongly oriented towards innovation and the subjects are always updated to keep in step with market developments, sector trends and the needs of the eyewear and fashion sector companies, which increasingly base their chances of success and market competitiveness on leveraging creativity and design. The course lasts for a total of 864 hours divided among on-campus training sessions, traineeship in eyewear companies, and the study of design consultancy and planning. The aim is to train 12 professionals capable of combining the characteristics of distinctive objects, like eyewear and fashion accessories, with fashion trends oriented towards a very personal way of matching shapes, colors and materials through the use of different technologies. With a certain level of responsibility and independence, the professional follows the conception and design of new fashion products and accessories or the restyling of products already on the market, and defines their stylistic, functional and technical features by using various design, illustration and communication techniques. The profile is that of someone capable of integrating technical and creative ability with knowledge of the market. The subjects include: Inspiration and the creative process in the design of eyewear/fashion accessories; From sketch to illustrated idea; Innovative materials and finishes; Simulation of company start-up; Colors, shapes and sizes of eyewear/fashion accessories; Building product image in accordance with corporate philosophy; IT and digital tools for presenting eyewear/fashion accessories; The correct communication between product type and global communication; Health and safety in the workplace; Design according to standards; Design techniques and technologies and product prototypes; Industrialization of eyewear and fashion accessories; Project work: development of style models/prototype; Project work: preparing an effective communication plan. The course is open to job hunters and/or unemployed persons with a technical/scientific high school diploma.
