Carrera in the cast of RUSH, the new movie directed by Ron Howard

Various models by the brand will co-star with Chris Hemsworth, Daniel Brühl and Alexandra Maria Lara RUSH, the eagerly-awaited movie directed by two-time Oscar® winner Ron Howard, will be on worldwide release in September. Set in the Seventies, the so-called golden age of Formula 1, RUSH is based on the exhilarating true story of two of the greatest rivals the world of racing has ever known - James Hunt, the charming British driver and famous playboy, played by Chris Hemsworth, and Austrian Niki Lauda, his methodical and brilliant opponent, played by Daniel Brühl.   For the precise reconstruction of the period, the legendary Carrera brand also had a leading role. The Carrera 80 eyewear model, worn in the movie by Niki Lauda, is a re-edition from the brand's historical archive that perfectly expresses his racing attitude. The metal teardrop shape together with polarized, interchangeable lenses provide maximum vision quality in every situation. An unmistakable detail is the "Victory C® Logo" on the front: the original signature of the collection and a symbol of the brand's stylistic continuity.   The model chosen for James Hunt was Carrera Speedway, teardrop injected sunglasses characterized by the personalization of the front and contrasting graphic lines on the front and temples.   Alexandra Maria Lara, who plays Marlene Lauda, wears Carrera 16 sunglasses with a steel and metal drop-shape frame that is hidden behind the lenses and features the "C" logo in relief on the bridge.   Also starring Olivia Wilde (Tron: Legacy), the screenplay for RUSH was written by two-time Oscar® nominee Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon; The Queen) and produced by Andrew Eaton (A Mighty Heart), Ron Howard, Oscar® winner Brian Grazer (Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind), Eric Fellner (Senna, Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy), Peter Morgan and Brian Oliver (Black Swan). The executive producers are Exclusive Media, Cross Creek Pictures, Todd Hallowell and Tim Bevan.   The world premiere of Rush will be held in London on September 2. The movie will be on release in Italian movie theaters on September 19.
