Valentino presents Venice Limited Edition
An exclusive model for the Venice Film Festival, a contemporary interpretation of preciousness and allure For Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli style is synthesis. Lean and to the point, Valentino's delicacy has become incisive, illuminated with contrasts. While shaking the atelier's archetypes inside out and placing them a new context, Chiuri and Piccioli have created new beauty. For the Venice Film Festival, Valentino has launched an exclusive eyewear model, a contemporary interpretation of preciousness and allure. An oversized vintage-inspired wraparound shape conjures up the star-studded glamour of Cinecittà; the rhinestone decorations suggest the jolie madame esprit that is part of Valentino's DNA; injections of bright color create totally unexpected chromatic and visual balance. The result is a new classic. Glamour takes on a playful note. A feeling of preciousness dominates. A minimalist line in gold metal defines the eyewear silhouette: a sinuous front with a double bridge; slim temples with the logo on the end pieces. The model features acetate inserts in matte colors that emphasize and envelop the eyes, while the face is illuminated by the rhythmic decorations of Swarovski crystals in different sizes. The effect on the surface is reminiscent of enamel in a pop version: once again, memory and innovation mix. Three-hundred pairs of this eyewear have been created and are available in only three colors: powder, apple green or fuchsia. Like a silk-screen print from the Factory, the consecutive number of each pair is laser-engraved on the inside of the right temple.
