Optovista supports optometrists affected by the earthquake

Pettazzoni: "As natives of Emilia we are deeply shocked and we intend to make a tangible contribution to helping our clients in the earthquake zone" Optovista is the leading Italian producer of ophthalmic lenses and its main office is situated in the Bologna area of Emilia, where a strong earthquake struck a few weeks ago, putting the Region's people, economy and production under considerable strain.   "As natives of Emilia we are deeply shocked and concerned about what is happening around us - said Optovista president Paolo Pettazzoni – and we intend to immediately make a tangible contribution to helping our clients who live and work in the provinces hit by the earthquake".   For this reason, Optovista has decided to implement a series of practical initiatives for supporting all the optometrists in the area that have been affected by the tragedy. All payment terms have been suspended with immediate effect and exceptional support has also been set up for mounting lenses at Optovista's base in Calderara di Reno, so that opticians can continue to guarantee their customers rapid and efficient service. Naturally, this service will be completely free of charge.   The Bologna-based company also immediately investigated other more wide-ranging actions in agreement with ANFAO and FEDEROTTICA aimed at generating a synergic system of help that will give real added value to all the sector's operators affected by the quake.
