News from Tom Ford for Fall/Winter 2012

The announcement of the launch of a Special Edition vision collection by the brand Inspired by the timeless elegance of Fifties eyewear, Tom Ford has created a new frame for women (5257) and one for men (5260) in gold-plated metal of refined quality and with a front and temples in precious Indian buffalo horn.   Influenced by a retro style, these frames represent the highest levels of eyewear design and craftsmanship. Without being excessively luxurious, they are meticulously crafted in two styles that are among the most refined with the Tom Ford label.   The frame and relevant leather case are presented in luxurious beige colored Bakelite packaging. A certificate of authenticity comes with a special cream and a chamois leather cloth to care for the Indian buffalo horn, which may be slightly different in each frame because of its organic origin.   The Special Edition frame for women evokes its Fifties roots in the well-defined lines of the bridge. This is balanced by slender and elegant metal temples decorated with a small "T", a characteristic of Tom Ford eyewear. The frame comes in yellow gold-plated metal with brown and gray striped horn (color 032) or in yellow gold-plated metal with white and gray striped horn (028).   The temples of the frame for men are slightly chunkier. The frame comes in white gold-plated metal with brown and gray striped horn (18A) or in yellow gold-plated metal with black striped horn (032).
